This was recorded in 1970 for Mainstream Records. It is the first time that Ron Carter and I ever played together. We made the whole album in 1 and 1/2 hours and everything on it is in one take. Back in the 70s more than one DJ in the USA were using this as the theme for the opening of their shows.
