Recorded in 1973 for the Groove Merchant Record label. Mike Longo – Piano, Ron Carter – Bass and Mickey Roker – Drums. The original recorded album was an LP called “Funkia.” This was rather early in my recording career. It was re-released on a two album CD with Chick Corea and Me called “Piano Giants.” It has been re-released several times now in one form or another. DJ Les Davis in New York used to use this track as his opening theme for his jazz program on WRVR which was the largest local PBS Jazz radio station in NYC at the time.
